Life in Barcelona has a very particular rhythm, and adapting to its customs is an essential part of integration.

In the work environment, the standard working day usually starts between 8 and 9 am and ends around 6 or 7 pm with a break at noon. Although some international companies have more continuous working hours, many still operate on the classic split-time model.

For families, school hours are usually from 9.00 to 17.00 (with lunch break), although this varies depending on the centre. The main meal of the day is between 14:00 and 15:00, and dinner at home not earlier than 20:30. This directly influences the family routine, the offer of extracurricular activities and social life.
